Dear Friends,
The annual NUS Earth Hour 2011 event will be held at the SRC Field coming this Saturday (26th March) from 7:45pm to 9:30pm and this event will not be complete without you!
Here are some of the highlights for this year programme:
- Witness the mass switch-off ONLY for once a year from 8:30pm to 9:30pm in NUS Campus!
- Watch a game with lighted display in the dark which we haven’t organized one in the previous Earth Hour events.
- Watch live music, enjoy free food at the same time!
- Lucky draw: chance to win 1 Apple Ipod, 2 1GB wooden casing thumbdrive, and other gifts such as notebook, pencil box, candle light!
- Launch of NUS Sustainability Fund for students’ initiated Green Projects, announcement of NUS Students’ Sustainability Charter’s new targets
If you are coming for the event, please CLICK HERE to register yourself. Also, please help to spread this message to your other friends as well!
Even if you are unable to make it for our main event, lets us take this opportunity to show our solidarity with the Japanese, who are willing to switch off appliances and enduring rolling blackouts for days in order to allocate more electricity to hard-hit areas by helping to save electricity and fuel during Earth Hour. Remember though, as per the motto for this year’s Earth Hour: go beyond the hour and help to make conservation of electricity part of our daily lives!
