NUS fights climate change

 

Climate change is unequivocal, as stated by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change in its Fourth Assessment Report. The Earth’s climate is changing for the worse, as evident from the observations of increases in global average air and ocean temperatures, widespread melting of snow and ice and rising global average sea level. This is the result of anthropogenic (human induced) changes to the composition of our atmosphere.

Recognizing that climate change is unequivocal, NUS, as a university of global standing, will lead our community in a concerted effort to meet this global climate challenge.

On the 25th of August 2008, NUS, through the launch of six sustainable environmental projects, underlined her commitment to fight climate change publicly.
