Ongoing SAVE Projects:

ZeroWaste- We have placed paper recycling bins in all hostels to prevent the huge mountains of paper being thrown away at the end of the semester! Coming next, we will continue to do some research on the recycling system and revamp certain recycling bins!

OneDegree - Launched in Oct 2007, temperatures have to be set at 25 deg Celsius! However, this has not been in place for many places and we will set up a feedback system to monitor it's compliance.

Rebate2Earth - Launched 4th Feb, all COOP bookstores, fruits and drinks stalls are charging 10 cents for plastic bags. We intend to bring this campus wide and then off to other institutions too!

SAVE3s- After all printers are set on default double sided printing, now we moved on to get all students to submit their assignments on double sided print! We have got support from the Provost himself already, so it shouldn't been hard setting it a policy. Also, look out for our tree planting sessions coming along!

Food4Thought - Meat..Meat.. Meat... They are major contributors to carbon emissions! This semester, we plan to raise awareness of sustainable diet with climate change and also to ban ALL styrofoam usage in NUS related to food!
